Present Perfect Simple · Present Perfect vs Past Simple

🎯 Po co Ci to? Po polsku nie ma tego czasu, więc trzeba go zbudować od nowa: Present Perfect łączy przeszłość z teraźniejszością (doświadczenie, świeży skutek, stan trwający „od"). Kontrast z Past Simple to drugi najczęstszy punkt sprawdzany w środkach językowych, a I have seen him yesterday to najczęstszy błąd polskiego ucznia.

W kursie: 2.1 (doświadczenia, ever / never), 6.1 (Present Perfect vs Past Simple), 8.2 (for / since).

Twierdzenie Przeczenie Pytanie
I / you / we / they I have seen this film. We haven't finished yet. Have you ever been to London?
he / she / it She has just left. It hasn't rained for weeks. Has he called?

have/has + trzecia forma czasownika (seen, left, gone, written, been). Czasowniki regularne: -ed. Uwaga na parę been / gone: She has gone to Rome (jest tam teraz) vs She has been to Rome (była i wróciła).

📐 Gramatyka w pigułce — użycie

Funkcja Przykład Komentarz
doświadczenie życiowe, bez daty I**'ve never eaten** sushi. Have you ever tried it? „kiedykolwiek w życiu”
świeża czynność ze skutkiem teraz I**'ve lost** my keys. (= nie mam ich) She**'s just left**. just, already, yet, recently
stan trwający od przeszłości do teraz We**'ve lived** here for ten years / since 2016. for + okres, since + moment
okres, który jeszcze trwa I**'ve had** three tests this week. tydzień się nie skończył
pierwszy raz, ranking It's the first time I**'ve tried** a passion fruit. It's the best film I**'ve seen**. stała konstrukcja

📐 Gramatyka w pigułce — kontrast z Past Simple

Present Perfect Past Simple
I**'ve visited** Berlin twice. (doświadczenie, liczy się do dziś) I visited Berlin in 2024. (zamknięty moment)
She**'s broken** her leg. (ma gips) She broke her leg last winter. (historia)
I**'ve lived** here for five years. (nadal mieszkam) I lived there for five years. (już nie)
Have you seen Anna today? (dzień trwa) Did you see Anna yesterday? (dzień się skończył)

Pytanie kontrolne: czy okres, o którym mowa, już się zamknął? Yesterday, last week, in 2020, two days ago, when I was a child zamykają go, więc wymuszają Past Simple. Today, this week, ever, so far, recently zostawiają go otwarty. Ale to znaczenie rozstrzyga, nie słowo: I saw him this morning jest poprawne, jeśli mówisz po południu (poranek się skończył).

⚠️ Częste błędy polskich uczniów

  • ✗ I have seen him yesterday. → ✓ I saw him yesterday. (data zamyka okres)
  • ✗ I live here since 2016. → ✓ I*'ve lived** here since 2016.* (po polsku „mieszkam”, po angielsku stan od momentu w przeszłości)
  • ✗ When have you arrived? → ✓ When did you arrive? (when pyta o moment)
  • ✗ I've been in Rome last year. → ✓ I went to Rome last year.
  • ✗ She has went home. → ✓ She has gone home. (trzecia forma)

💭 Pomyśl

💭 Pomyśl: „I've lost my keys" i „I lost my keys" mogą opisać to samo zdarzenie.

Dlatego po I lost my keys naturalnie pada pytanie When?, a po I've lost my keys pytanie Where did you last see them?

🔍 [R] Subtelności: gone / been, this morning, Present Perfect po when o przyszłości

  • Present Perfect w zdaniach czasowych o przyszłości: I'll serve dinner as soon as you have set the table. Podkreśla, że jedna czynność ma się zakończyć przed drugą; Present Simple (as soon as you set) też jest poprawne, ale słabiej akcentuje zakończenie.
  • Okres „w trakcie” zależy od godziny mówienia: I've had two coffees this morning (jest jeszcze rano) vs I had two coffees this morning (jest popołudnie). W zadaniach z luką czytaj cały akapit, nie samo this morning.
  • Superlatyw + ever + Present Perfect: It's the most boring film I've ever seen. Zamiana na Past Simple (I ever saw) brzmi archaicznie.
  • Nagłówki prasowe i newsy: Prime Minister resigns (Present Simple w nagłówku) → w tekście: The Prime Minister has resigned after… (świeże wydarzenie ze skutkiem) → dalej: She announced the decision at 9 a.m. (szczegóły w Past Simple). Ten sam schemat: najpierw Perfect, potem Past Simple przy detalach, obowiązuje w e-mailu i opowiadaniu.

✍️ [R] Ćwiczenie. Uzupełnij akapit: A new sports centre ___ (OPEN) in our town. The mayor ___ (CUT) the ribbon on Saturday and hundreds of people ___ (COME) to see it. It's the biggest investment the town ___ (EVER/MAKE).

Sprawdź odpowiedź

has opened (news, skutek: jest otwarte) · cut … came (szczegóły z datą: sobota) · has ever made (superlatyw + ever).
