Tenses in exam tasks: transformations, translations, gapped texts

Wiedza o czasach jest sprawdzana w czterech formatach zadań ze środków językowych i każdy ma własne pułapki: w transformacji ze słowem kluczem trzeba zmieścić się w limicie wyrazów i nie zmienić formy podanego słowa, w tłumaczeniu fragmentu trzeba oddać polski czas angielską konstrukcją, w lukach z ramką i jednowyrazowych czas wynika z całego akapitu. ⚠️ Pułapki polsko-angielskie w tłumaczeniu fragmentów
- „Mieszkam tu od 2016 roku” → Present Perfect, nie Present Simple: I've lived here since 2016.
- „Nie widziałem go od tygodnia” → I haven't seen him for a week. (polska forma dokonana, angielski Perfect)
- „Kiedyś grałem w piłkę” → I used to play football. (nie
I once played, jeśli chodzi o zwyczaj) - „Zadzwonię, jak dojadę” → I'll call you when I arrive. (bez will po when)
- „Właśnie wychodziłem, gdy…” → I was just leaving when…
- „Zanim przyszedłeś, skończyliśmy” → We had finished before you came.

W arkuszu rozszerzonym transformacje łączą czas z inną konstrukcją: inwersją, stroną bierną, mową zależną albo modalnym z bezokolicznikiem przeszłym. Wybór czasu pozostaje taki sam, ale trzeba go „przenieść” przez drugą operację.
- We had only just arrived when it started to rain. HARDLY → Hardly ___ when it started to rain.
- People believe that the painting was stolen in the 1990s. BELIEVED → The painting ___ stolen in the 1990s.
