Mixed conditionals
🎯 Po co Ci to? Zakres rozszerzony (informator wymienia typy 0–III; mieszane pojawiają się w tekstach i w trudniejszych transformacjach). Okres mieszany łączy dwa czasy, bo warunek i skutek leżą w różnych momentach: przeszły warunek, skutek dziś (If I'd studied medicine, I'd be a doctor now) albo stały warunek, skutek w przeszłości (If I were braver, I'd have said no). Klucz to nie wzór, tylko pytanie: kiedy jest warunek, a kiedy skutek?
W kursie: 13.2, 13.5 [R] (mixed conditionals).
📐 Gramatyka w pigułce
| Warunek | Skutek | Przykład | Fakty |
|---|---|---|---|
| przeszłość: Past Perfect | teraz: would + bezokolicznik | If I had studied medicine, I**'d be** a doctor now. | nie studiowałem, nie jestem lekarzem |
| teraz / zawsze: Past Simple | przeszłość: would have + III forma | If I were braver, I**'d have said** no. | nie jestem odważny, nie odmówiłem |
Pierwszy typ jest zdecydowanie częstszy. Wyrazy now, today, still w skutku i yesterday, last year w warunku podpowiadają mieszankę, ale rozstrzyga sens.
⚠️ Typowe błędy
- ✗ If I had studied medicine, I would have been a doctor now. → ✓ …I would be a doctor now. (now = skutek dziś)
- ✗ If I was taller, I would have been a basketball player. (poprawne jako mieszany, ale na egzaminie were) → ✓ If I were taller…
- Mylenie z typem III: If I hadn't eaten so much, I wouldn't have felt sick (wtedy) vs …I wouldn't feel sick now (teraz).
💭 Pomyśl
💭 Pomyśl: „If I hadn't moved to Warsaw, I wouldn't have met Ola" i „If I hadn't moved to Warsaw, I wouldn't know Ola". Które zdanie mówi coś o dzisiejszej relacji?

Drugie. I wouldn't know Ola opisuje stan teraz: znam ją dziś dzięki tamtej przeprowadzce. I wouldn't have met Ola zamyka się w przeszłości: samo poznanie by nie nastąpiło. Oba zdania mają ten sam warunek w Past Perfect, różnią się skutkiem, i właśnie skutek decyduje, czy okres jest trzeci, czy mieszany.
